Hi everyone!

So I am taking Leket-Mor for bio 181 and so far the course is ok but way to in-depth for a general bio class. The first exam is coming up pretty soon and I am kind of stressing how to study for his class. Do any passed students from his class (bio 181) have any advice on how to prepare and pass his exams? Or even his class in general?

The claim is pretty true. It was really common to hear that if you took the section with Leket-Mor and that's because he teaches a lot of chemistry in the bio class.

@OP if the tests are online still you will be fine. I think this is the class where Shaffer takes over the second half and when he does the content gets a lot easier and in like what you expect from a bio class

This was many years ago and not with your prof, but my gen bio course required the memorization of the Kreb cycle among other things that I considered "too in depth" for a general bio course. I passed by taking and reviewing my notes (twice once right after the course and again the following day) and going to office hours. This method works well with any class that requires memorization. Communication of ideas

There are a variety of techniques, materials and media that designers can utilise while developing their ideas. Each provides a different function and allows designers to communicate ideas effectively.

Perspective drawing

Perspective drawings are commonly used in technical drawing to show an item in 3D on a 2D page. Perspective drawings show an object in 3D getting smaller in the distance.

Single-point perspective - This shows an object from the front in a realistic way as it gets smaller going into the distance. The front view goes back towards a vanishing point , which is a point on the horizon line where all lines meet.

Two-point perspective - This shows an object from the side with two vanishing points. It gives the most realistic view of a product as it shows the item edge on, as we would see it. It is often used to produce realistic drawings of an object.

Three-point perspective is similar to two-point perspective because two of the vanishing points remain on the horizon line. The third perspective point is vertical, which makes the drawing look smaller not only to the left and right on the horizon, but also as the eye looks downward. Three-point perspective is used by many product designers when they sketch a product. It looks the most realistic, but it is also the hardest to draw.

Mermaid Art Studios hosted a birthday party for a four year old.Make your next birthday party one to remember by celebrating with friends and family at Mermaid Art Studios.

We make birthday parties easy for you with face painting, and spin art. We have paper products and gift bags as well!

Families are encouraged to bring cake, snacks and other food and drinks as well.

Birthday Party Packages

Basic birthday parties are held on Saturdays from 1:00p-2:30p and 3:30p-5:00p for ten children, $18 for each additional.

Party 1 – $280 (all ages)

Pick any project in our back room to paint and take home in the same day!

Party 2 – $280 (all ages)

Spin art t-shirts using pizza boxes and take them home to wear and show off to all your friends and family!

Party 3 – $340 (ages 10+)

Jewelry Design Party – 10 children maximum

Painting on canvas – you pick the theme and we'll teach you how to do it! Up to 10 children included, $35 each for additional children.

Birthday Party Crafts Include:

  • Paint ceramic animals
  • Paint terra cotta pots (you bring the soil and flowers, we'll pot everything up, ready for the kids to take home)
  • Jump ropes (wood handles)
  • Picture frames (wood, standing, for wallet size photos)
  • Little vanity box (wood, good for jewelry or hair bands)
  • Secret message flowers (wood, little box on back of flower with slide door)
  • Noise makers (wood, great project around July 4th!)
  • Cars, trucks, planes and trains (wood, movable parts)

For an additional $5 per child, we have some more advanced projects including:

  • Spin art t-shirts, bags or hats (all ages)
  • Guitars (wood, with strings!, all ages, *only a $4 add'l fee)
  • Paint a larger ceramic piece (up to $12 value, paint with acrylic paint, take it home that same day)
  • Glaze a larger ceramic piece (up to $12 value, remember, you'll have to make a return visit to pick up the pieces and then distribute them back to the kids)
  • Funk wear bags (Yes, they are funky! This is best for girls, ages 8 and up.) We have fabric bags to choose from, then develop your design with fabric, ribbons, buttons and more.
